So as many of you know plans are in the works for me moving out in the very near future. In preparation of moving out I've started to make some household purchases as I'm essentially starting from scratch. So, today I went out at lunch and found a set of cutlery! And now I have to laugh because I never in my life thought I would be so excited about finding a really nice set of cutlery :). It's really important to me in all of these purchases that I find things that are good quality and at a good price rather than just buying cheap stuff that I'll want to throw out in a year. Today I found exactly what I was looking for, a set of really nice, unique, quality silverware. I'm so excited! :) hehehe

First Ride of 2008
Today is a beautiful sunny warm day in Vancouver and what better thing to do but introduce my bike to 2008. This February is turning out to be the most beautiful one I've ever experienced in this city. I feel so lucky to live here right now the pride is pouring out of me!

Granville Island Vanlentines Weekend
Lucas and I decided to skip Valentines Day and rather have a Valentines Weekend. To save a little bit of money and do something a little different we decided to have a Valentines Getaway in our own city in the bustling little marketplace that is Granville Island. We headed down there for a beautiful weekend of sunshine, street performers, good food and fresh air. It was 'just what the doctor ordered' as they say! We got just the right amount of relaxation and laughter before heading home on yet another gorgeous sunny day in Vancouver. :)
The Hotel Room - the room, the view from our room, the beautiful display waiting for us
The Sunset, the Beer Flight (taste test) and us in the central market :)
General Silliness :)
Our wonderful dinner at Dockside

Valentines Eve
In celebration of nothing at all a small group of us went out tonight for seafood and strawberries!
I had one of the biggest food days of my life today. Those of you who know me well know that I am the pickiest eater ever! Well I broke that mould today and tried some seafood that I had previously refused to eat. At the end of it I had tried - smoked candied salmon, raw oysters, scallops, mussels, and prawns! Of all of these things the salmon and raw oysters we by far my favourites followed very closely by scallops. I'm so proud of myself!!! :)
