Lucas and I had a wonderful time in Hopkins. We were only there for a short time so we made sure that in that time we submerged ourselves into the Garifuna culture. We started with drumming lessons where we practiced punta beats and drummed on turtle shells. We rented bikes for the day and explored the whole village. We then capped our day off with a traditional Garifuna meal made by our wonderful host Rosie. It was a wonderful time!!
