Monkey River Tour

This morning with a little bit of a foggy head after all the rum last night Lucas and I headed out on our tour of Monkey River. The rush of air from the boat woke us up as our guide started to teach us about the many beautiful birds of Belize. We were lucky enough to see pelicans, blue herons, green herons, ospreys, hawks, sparrows, king fishers, vultures and many more! We also saw crocodiles, turtles, monkeys, huge butterflies, blue land crabs (too quick for a photo) and a quick glance of a manatee. It was a really great day!

Setting off in the early morning

Blue Heron in the background and a young blue heron in the foreground

Crocodile on the beach

Beautiful dragonfly (Mandi, all the dragonflies here make me think of you)

Baby Crocodile
Jaguar paw print, probably the closest we'll get to seeing a Jaguar in the wild

Beautiful big Butterfly : )
