Lucas and I arrived in Placencia 2 days ago now. We had no idea what to expect from Placencia and were pleasantly surprised with what was waiting there for us. Placencia is the definition of a beach town. There is sand EVERYWHERE and the main street is a sidewalk through the sand. You can see the beach from almost every location in town including the guesthouse we're staying at. The Caribbean Sea is so wonderful. On our first morning Lucas and I were up at 8am and went straight to the sea for a swim. Last night we danced to reggae and drank what else but Belizean rum. Needless to say we are having a blast here!
